  • Who are 'For The Sake Of Cake'? : For The Sake Of Cake is a small business run by Emily Whittingham from her home in Gillingham, Kent. After becoming a mum of two and a carer for her father, and therefore becoming mainly based at the home, Emily also began to pursue her love of baking and went on a cake decorating course, which gave her the confidence she needed to set up her own business. Emily has completed her Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and For The Sake of Cake has been awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating.
  • What cakes can be ordered? : Cupcakes and celebration cakes e.g. birthday and xmas cakes, as well as teatime treats (Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake) but if you have specific requirements, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will endeavour to accomodate your request.
  • Do we deliver? : It is preferred that cakes are collected although local delivery can be arranged for an additional charge. This can be to anywhere in the Medway area (Gillingham, Chatham, Rochester, Rainham, Strood) aswell as Maidstone and Sittingbourne. For areas further afield in Kent, delivery can be arranged for a charge. Boxes of 6 cupcakes can be sent by post to anywhere in the UK.
  • Do you need to pay a deposit? : For cupcakes and teatime treats, payment should be made upon ordering. For larger celebration cakes a 25% deposit is required upon ordering, with the remainder to be paid upon collection/delivery. Payment can be made by BACS.
